The Solutions Engineer Exec Advisor will be responsible for designing applications supporting Provider Experience System Initiatives. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Maintains active relationships with customers to determine business requirements, leads requirements gathering meetings and reviews designs with the business. Leads efforts with Web and marketing team to increase the presence of web products. Owns the change request process and coordinates with other teams as necessary. Develops and owns list of final enhancements. Develops and defines application scope and objectives and supervises the preparation of technical and/or functional specifications from with programs will be written. Performs technical design reviews and code reviews. Ensures unit test is completed and meets the test plan requirements, system testing is completed and system is implemented according to plan. Responsible for delivery of application technology solutions and data information planning effort. Coordinates and manages on-call support and owns the system monitoring process. Reviews and monitors initiatives for end to end impact and coordination. Participates in review and decision making for enterprise solutions.
Qualifications:
• BA/BS degree in related field or technical institute training; 9 or more years experience; multi platform experience, expert level experience with business and technical applications; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background
• Demonstrated experience in taking the high level enterprise strategy and blueprints and converting into system level deliverables for delivery
• Demonstrated technical leadership and interpersonal skills and experience
• Demonstrated experience in mentoring, coaching associates in various aspects including technology and adoption of technology
• Demonstrated planning, analytical, problem-solving skills
• Ability to conduct an analysis of business needs, including scheduling meetings, planning agendas, conferring with business line leaders, documenting and making verbal and written presentations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience
• Strong understanding of project life cycle methodology (agile, waterfall) and procedures in building and supporting large complex systems
• Strong knowledge of organization policies and procedures
• Demonstrated experience in working with various geographically diverse associates and vendor partners
• Demonstrated on-time and on-budget system delivery skills and experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of systems and application technologies and architecture
• Demonstrated experience in OOAD using established methodologies and notations such as UML and using design patterns
• Demonstrated 5 years of experience in high level and detailed level design using UML in either Rational or other similar toolsets
• Demonstrated experience with large-scale distributed systems using message queues, SOA and related technologies
• Demonstrated experience in designing and building systems for high availability, security, scalability and high volume transactions
• Demonstrated experience in using Rational Toolsets (Requisite Pro, Clear Case, Clear Quest, RationalDesign, RAD, RSA, RSM) to deliver systems. Prefer 5 years of experience in Rational Toolsets
• Demonstrated experience with application servers and corresponding development tools, build tools, and configuration management practices
• Demonstrated experience in Test Driven Development using test frameworks
• Demonstrated experience in Java/J2EE (Spring, SpringBatch, JUnit, Code Coverage, Profiling, Performance Tuning) technologies. Prefer 9 years of experience in development using these technologies
• Demonstrated experience in data modeling, database design and working with RDBMS like Oracle, DB2 and/or SQL Server
• Demonstrated 9 years of SQL development background including performance and tuning skill-sets
