Our Client, a major e-commerce company with national and international
facilities has hired Hallmark to find a very special person to fill the role
of Network Engineering Manager.  The role involves leading a team of
experienced and highly skilled Cisco/ Juniper Expert Level engineers at both a
project management and technical design level whilst focusing on scoping,
creating, planning and delivering network solutions to internal customers.
You will lead the technical team for the entire United States! This is a
management position and the candidate must have good leadership,
communication, research and presentation skills, in addition to an excellent
understanding of networking technologies and services as they apply to a busy
e-Commerce website.   RESPONSIBILITIES: System Maintenance and administration,
you must be able to maintain and support the security, availability and
performance of network systems Knowledge of internet firewalling through the
configuration of the company firewalls, particularly Cisco firewalls and
Juniper firewalls running JUNOS Ensure the highest possible availability of
the networks through a strong understanding of internet routing protocols,
including OSPF, BGP, Site to Site VPN, being able to demonstrate the use of
these skills at a practical level Support the proper functioning of the
systems through knowledge of switching and routing and TCP/IP Ensure that the
system problems are investigated, diagnosed, and resolved in a timely fashion
Devise, develop, and implement documented recovery procedures; test regularly
to minimize risk Knowledge of voice and video transport protocols (SIP, H323,
etc.) Knowledge of VPN and remote access strategy including Juniper IVE and
RSA SecureID. Hands-on, practical network troubleshooting experience.
Comfortable with common network monitoring and analysis tools Some national
and international travel is required (up to 25%)   EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Math or Science 10 years+ in a technical
networking role with 3 years+ as a team manager E-Commerce background;
Experience within an E-Commerce, web-site/internet environment Cisco
Professional Qualification (CCNP/CCIE) and Juniper Professional Qualification
(JNCIE) Knowledge of various operating systems (Windows / Linux) Knowledge of
Juniper IVE SSL VPN, QoS and Load Balancers (F5) Knowledge of capacity
planning and performance analysis in a network environment   OTHER: To view
