Job Summary
Responsible for the operation of the Ultrasound diagnostics equipment and performance of all dynamic procedures in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology/Maternal Fetal Medicine providing direct patient assessment primarily for adolescent and adult females. Occasionally may perform light routine office duties. Position may require working at both the main hospital facility and alternate sites.

Essential Responsibilities

• Produces and documents two, three, and four dimensional ultrasound of internal pelvic organs, adolescent or adult patients, and prenatal evaluation of the fetus/placenta to the satisfaction of our physicians, confirming anomalies and/or diagnosis of disease.


• Consistently records diagnostic studies using the appropriate medium for all ultrasound examinations to ensure proper handling, communication and documentation.


• Maintains all ultrasound machinery, computers and examining rooms.


• Contributes to the efficient operation of the department.


• Demonstrates commitment to professional and departmental growth.

Qualifications
Education:

• Graduate of recognized training program of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS) or equivalent preferred.

Experience:

• Two years of Obstetrical Ultrasound experience preferred.

Licensure:

• American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS) preferred.

Certification:

• Nuchal Translucency (NTQR or FMF) preferred.
