Description
Greets and receives patients and visitors using a workflow into SCI scheduler, Siemens, and Chartlinks programs. Develops patient charts, verifies insurance coverage and schedules patient appointments. Process requests from billing department for medical records, patient account corrections/updates, and insurance authorizations. Provide support to patient concerns/questions. Responsible for daily reports to include authorization tracking and co-pay collection. Work as a team member to support the clinical staff at our South Main Street outpatient clinic in West Hartford and maintain overall workflow in the office. Position is for per diem hours only. Must be available to work a few evenings per week until 7:00pm.
High school diploma or equivalent. Computer operating knowledge along with math skills for handling monetary transactions for co-pays is required. Minimum of one year of office experience with medical terminology and third party billing strongly preferred. Excellent customer service/phone skills along with multitasking skills are required.
