          Opto-Mechanical Manufacturing Technologist
          UTC Aerospace Systems is one of the world's largest suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and defense products. We design, manufacture and service systems and components and provide integrated solutions for commercial, regional, business and military aircraft, helicopters and other platforms. We are also a major supplier to international space programs.

          In 2012, UTC Aerospace Systems was formed by combining two industry leaders, Hamilton Sundstrand and Goodrich, creating an organization with key positions on a wide range of aircraft flying today and substantial content on various UAVs, satellites and ground and naval vehicles.
          We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Technologist to provide Opto-Mechanical Manufacturing support for the fabrication, assembly and alignment of space and airborne opto/mechanical systems (MOS's, tooling design, hands on). Responsibilities will include:

          � Work within a Product Development team to review new designs and suggest improvements for manufacturability

          � Provide hands on support in the assembly and integration of space and airborne opto-mechanical systems

          � Produce new assembly, alignment and handling tool design models in Pro-E Wildfire

          � Write Manufacturing Operations Sheets and routers for assembly, integration and alignment of hardware

          � Enter Router information into Enterprise Resource Planning system

          � Coordinate work of an Integrated Product Team with shop personnel, operations technicians, and design detailers

          � Work with suppliers to manufacture and procure parts for deliverable products and tooling

          � Associates degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related required and 10 years related experience

          � 7 years min. experience in the design and detailing of Opto/Mechanical tools and fixtures

          � Proficient in Pro-E Wildfire 3 or 4, GD&T, (Mechanic analysis a plus)

          � Experience in writing Manufacturing Operations Sheets for assembly, integration and alignment of optical and flight hardware

          � Proven experience in assembling mechanical systems

          � Experience in the design, tolerancing, and detailing of tools and fixtures required for Opto/Mechanical assembling (kinematic mounts, assembly tools, test fixtures, etc.)

          � Pro-E training and experience

          � General office surroundings, interact with machine shop, ability to work in a clean room

          � US Citizenship required in support of security clearance requirements
