          Hamilton Sundstrand Manufacturing Technician in Danbury Connecticut United States

          Manufacturing Technician
          UTC Aerospace Systems is one of the world's largest suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and defense products. We design, manufacture and service systems and components and provide integrated solutions for commercial, regional, business and military aircraft, helicopters and other platforms. We are also a major supplier to international space programs.

          In 2012, UTC Aerospace Systems was formed by combining two industry leaders, Hamilton Sundstrand and Goodrich, creating an organization with key positions on a wide range of aircraft flying today and substantial content on various UAVs, satellites and ground and naval vehicles.
          The position reports in to the operations organization's electro optical integration section. The section is responsible for supporting electro optical integration processes for all business units within the UTAS Danbury facility. The electro optical integration team has approximately 20 members consisting of assembly operators and electronics technicians. The position is responsible for supporting circuit card assembly processes and mechanical integration processes.

          Electro Optical Assembly 75%

          Circuit Card Assembly 25%

          The candidate must have the ability to interpret assembly drawings. The candidate must have experience with mechanical assembly processes, including but not limited to, staking, bonding, installing and torquing hardware. The candidate must also have circuit card assembly experience with cleanliness testing, conformal coating masking/demasking operations and conformal coating. J-STD soldering experience is preferred. The candidate must have experience working in an aerospace environment with an understanding of electro static discharge.

          Relocation is available for Internal ISR Candidates

          Overtime expected/required
          � High school diploma or equivalent required

          � The ability to work with Lasers may be required. Ability to work in an ESD environment and wear appropriate PPE. You should be able to move 20+ pounds

          � Minimum 3 - 9 years' experience with mechanical assembly and circuit card assembly processes.

          � Some travel may be required.

          � US Citizenship required in support of security clearance requirements

          Education High school diploma or equivalent required
